MaxWear's Wear Resistant Composite is high chrome white iron that has been bonded to a mild steel backing plate. Basically it is a combination of two different materials forming hard and tough composites. The good solderability of mild steel backing plate makes it easy to attach the composite to most steel surfaces while the white iron working surface is a minimum 700 Brinell (63 HRC) to provide wear protection and to absorb impact in severe conditions. MaxWear's composite is ideal for applications of working temperature no higher than 300℃.
