Dapoxetine works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter, increasing serotonin’s action at the post synaptic cleft, so as to delay ejaculation.. As a member of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) family, Dapoxetine was initially created as an antidepressant.
