Rivet connection types can be classified in many ways, according to the use classification can be divided into ordinary riveting, sealed riveting, special riveting three categories, according to the nature of rivet and hole after riveting classification can be divided into interference riveting and non-interference riveting, according to the way of riveting close to the workpiece classification can be divided into double riveting and single riveting.
Classification by use:
1. Ordinary riveting
In the part of the structure without special requirements, the use of semi-round head rivets, flat cone head rivets, countersunk head rivets, 120° countersunk head rivets, large oval head rivets, etc., after applying pressure to the rivets, the use of rivet deformation to connect the riveted object, the object has a connection and fixing role. 2. Seal riveting

Seal riveting includes riveting in which a sealant is added to the bonding surface of the riveted joint, riveting in which a sealant or sealing element is added to the rivet, and interference fitting riveting.
3. Special riveting
In the structure of the main force or not open or closed parts, using different from the ordinary rivet shape and riveting method of ring slot rivet, high shear rivet, threaded hollow rivet, core pulling rivet connection form.
The name of the rivet form is usually named after the name of the rivet, such as ring rivet riveting, drawing core-pulling rivet riveting, drum core-pulling rivet riveting, etc.
