According to the latest statistics from the German Federal Statistical Office, in the third quarter of 2019, a total of 120 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was connected to the grid in Germany. This is a decrease of 12.8% compared with the same quarter in 2018, and coal power generation in particular has decreased by 37% compared to last year to 34 billion kilowatt hours. Compared with the previous quarter, the total generation capacity of wind and photovoltaic power generation was 36 billion kilowatt hours, slightly higher than coal power generation.

This development trend benefits from German renewable energy power generation laws that take precedence over other power sources. It is reported that in the first quarter and the second quarter of this year, the amount of electricity generated by coal into the network decreased by 20% and 24% respectively compared with the same period last year.

Germany's energy transition is making great strides forward. The integration of renewable energy in Germany's energy sector paves the way for new business models and technologies. Structural changes also provide special opportunities for the economic community. The German government is providing extensive support for off-coal power generation through research projects and infrastructure measures.
