- Introduction

Drum screen, also called trommel screen is designed to separate and classify solid materials for various industries. The GTS Drum Screen consists of five parts which are the cylindrical drum, frame, hopper, reducer and the motor. The perforated cylindrical drum has sections of different apertures size arranged from the finest to the coarsest. It is normally elevated at an angle at the feed end. When materials are feed at the inclined rotating drum, the materials spirals down the rotating drum; undersized material smaller than the screen aperture passes through the screen mesh while oversized material exits at the other end of the drum. The different material falls into different outlets and are transported by manpower or belt conveyor.
