110KV OHL steel tower refer to a lattice steel structure used in overhead electric power transmission and distribution to transmit 110KV circuit electrical energy along large distances. It consists of one or more conductor (most often three or four) suspended by towers or utility poles. Since most of the insulations is provided by air, overhead power lines are generally the lowest-cost method of power transmission for large quantities of electric energy.
110KV power transmission line belongs to high voltage grade, used for sub-transmission and transmission of bulk quantities of electric power and connection to very large consumers. After fabrication all 110KV overhead transmission line steel tower are delivered to the galvanizing facility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility by Caustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insure years of maintenance free towers. Even we take secondary finish for client again, which as duplex surface treatment. The duplex coating applied in our own paint shop.
Duplex surface treatment involves sand-blasting to remove 5-10 microns of the 70-150 micron thick hot dip galvanization coating. This removes any contaminants and roughens the surface.
