? Feed air compression, pre-cooling and purification systems

Feed air from atmosphere is removed dust and mechanical impurity through air filter then enters into Air Compressor. Compressed air with pressure of 0.7Mpa(G) is sent into Air Pre-cooling System to be cooled down to 5~8°C.

Cooled air enters into Molecular Sieve Purification System for adsorption in where moistures, carbon dioxide, acetylene and other hydrocarbons impurities are removed. There are two alternative working vertical adsorbers. When one adsorber works another will be in regeneration.

? Air rectification

Purified air with temperature of 10~16°Cfrom Molecular Sieve Purification System is sent into Main Heat-exchanger in where the purified air is cooled down by reflux cryogenic flow to saturation then goes into rectification column.

The liquid air we got in the bottom of column is sent to condensor-vaporizer on the top of column as condensate liquid after throttling. The oxygen riched liquid air in the condenser -vaporizer is sent to main heat exchanger and rewarm up tp -152°C and then goes into turbo expander for expansion. The oxygen riched air return back to the cold end of heat exchanger after expansion, in there oxygen riched air are rewarmed to normal atmospheric temperature and then goes out of cold box. They will be used as regeneration gas and other superlus will be vent.

The product nitrogen drawn out from the top of column to heat exchanger for rewarming and then send out of cold box to nitrogen consumer.

The normal purity oxygen system (90%~93%) is consisted of equipment as followings: (according to user different requirements, may has changes)

PRESSURE SWING ADSORPTION PROCESS

?

It has 2-vessels filled with Zeolite Molecular Sieves. Clean compressed air at 30o C temp. is passed through 1-vessel and Oxygen comes out as product gas. The other vessel is depressurized to atmospheric pressure and purged with little quantity of Oxygen coming out from other vessel. This regenerates Zeolite Molecular Sieves for use in next cycle. Thus 2-vessels keep cycling alternately in Oxygen production and Regeneration making Oxygen gas available continuously. These units are designed and supplied for 93% to 95% (Max) Oxygen purity.

? From PSA design Oxygen pressure is available directly up to 5 Bar (A) without need of booster compressor. So this design is preferred for Low and medium pressure Oxygen requirements.

? It’s very simple in construction and very easy in maintenance and more popular for most Oxygen requirements.
