Accumulators are primarily used for custom injection molding, i.e. for thin wall molding, do you need it?, if yes you will go for accumulator MC, These Mcs are robust and hence actually a power guzzlers so saving is in doubt. If your requirement is not custom injection molding then you may choose other options like hybrid, electric, servo driven pump for saving power. the high initial cost justifies power saving.
On my knowledge the cable ties are molded with custom injection molding.
I mean that it& acute;s better to increase the number of the cavities rather than reduce the cycle time with accumulator ,especially if the material used is semi-crystalline. You need to get the mechanical properties of the cable ties.
It is clear that the answer depends on the application and environment, that is all equipment around. The Aco Mold is well known since a long time, especially in application like CD and packaging industry. most important reason to get the high injection speed.
